Q: Do you repair computers?

Q: I have a virus or spyware on my computer, what do I do?
A: First, disconnect your computer from the Internet and run a virus scan with a top-rated software (such as Avast... don't have Avast, or another good product? Download the free trial from avast.com... if you like it, call us to purchase a license for the professional version). If your antivirus says that it removed or repaired the virus, run another scan to ensure it is clean, reconnect the Internet and try to avoid visiting the site from which you think you got the virus.
- If your antivirus software comes up with no detected threats, but you know you have something on your machine, you may try another antivirus software, BUT BE SURE TO *COMPLETELY* UNINSTALL YOUR CURRENT ANTIVIRUS FIRST... DO NOT RUN 2 DIFFERENT ANTIVIRUS APPLICATIONS ON YOUR COMPUTER AT THE SAME TIME!!
- Still can't get rid of that pesky mess? No problem, bring the machine to us (or call us for an onsite visit)... we have LOTS of "magic" tools to attempt a removal... if those don't work, we can backup your data, format your computer, then restore it to (near) it's factory settings with a fresh installation of the operating system, and restore your data (minus any infected files or applications).
REMEMBER: if we have to install your operating system (i.e. Windows), we MUST have the original license key / Certificate of Authenticity (COA) which came with your computer or retail package that you bought. We MUST also have license keys (and possibly the installation discs) for programs that are to be reinstalled (i.e. Microsoft Office, Works, Quicken, Quickbooks, Adobe, etc.)... WE WILL NOT INSTALL SOFTWARE FOR WHICH YOU DO NOT HAVE AN AUTHENTIC LICENSE KEY... THAT IS SOFTWARE PIRACY AND IS AGAINST THE LAW!!
Q: I am looking for a great computer deal, where can I go?
A: Stop in and check out our on-site selection of Dell, Toshiba, and Acer Computers.... we mostly stock business-class machines at home-class prices (many with a full 3-year onsite next business day warranty from Dell) . We are also authorized for and can order Sony, Lenovo/IBM, Asus and most other common manufacturers.
Q: What if you don't have a computer with my desired specifications in stock?
A: We can build or special order most any brand of computer, with the exact specifications you desire - and can generally have it ready, in our store in less than a week!
Q: Do you offer discounts?
A: We sometimes run special offers and/or discounts to MSU Students, Faculty and Staff... watch local papers and orientation packets for these. Coupons must be brought in at the time of purchase for these offers and discounts. Discounts may not be used in conjunction with other offers and may not apply to all items in our store. All offers/discounts/coupons are also subject to availability.
Q: Do you make housecalls?
A: Absolutely! Our experienced technicians can generally be at your doorstep in less than 8 business hours with all the tools and expertise to provide you quick service in the comfort of your own home or business with the most competitive rates in the Golden Triangle.
Q: What is the difference between the laptops and desktops you carry and the very inexpensive machines I see on TV?
A1: Most of the machines that are advertised on TV at incredibly low prices are base models with one or two minor upgrades to lure you in. These machines usually carry a 90 day limited warranty and are equipped with the bare essentials of a computer. Our machines are hand-picked for you and carry at least a 1-year on-site warranty with full Hardware and Software support, 512MB RAM, a 40GB hard drive on laptops and an 80GB hard drive on desktops, a DVD player, and a dual core processor.
A2:THE BIG DIFFERENCE IS THE SERVICE AFTER THE SALE!! Do you have time to waste on the phone with an uneducated "technical support representative" who doesn't even speak your language and doesn't understand the frustration or concern you have in losing your valuable data? Their job is to try to get your machine functioning as cheaply as possible with no regard to your data. They will often have you do a "rebuild" or "factory restore" on your machine, which will result in loss of all data (pictures, music, documents, etc.). Many times you have a hardware issue that these "restore" procedures will not fix... result = wasted time and problem still not fixed.
Our experienced staff can generally point out the real problem in a matter of minutes... AT NO CHARGE TO YOU if you bought the machine from us! If the issue is due to a manufacturer defect (hardware problem), there is no charge for making the repair to under-warranty systems bought from us. If the issue is a software problem, or additional software or configuration is required, you will be charged normal rates, but will receive top-quality service that can be matched NOWHERE else!!
Q: Do you offer different payment options?
A: Yes! We have several different payment plans to fit each individual's needs. You can make your entire purchase by card, check, or cash; put it on layaway(Layaway balances must be paid in full within 90 days of initial deposit. There are no finance charges for machines on layaway); or finance your purchase with one of our third-party partners upon credit approval and take it home today!
